ECC kids cut the ribbon for their new playground

August 25, 2017

On this very bright and beautiful Friday our youngest students at the ECC cut the ribbons for the opening of the brand new enchanted playground in a very exciting and colourful ceremony. The new thematic playground has been long awaited after the concept was developed two years ago but the wait has paid off.

Our youngest students at the ECC can now enjoy an adventurous natural playground has play areas with various features such as water, sand and pebbles, tunnels and bridges, huts to hide in surrounded by wood chips, beautiful plants and flowers, fairy-tale paths and gardens all of which will allow the imagination and creativity as well as enhancing their learning, particularly helping in fine motor skills and sensory development.

This playground project was a collaborative undertaking of our school and two foundations, The Fielmann Stiftung, which donated 360 plants including two apple trees and numerous fruit bushes and The Bingo Stiftung which donated grass and wood chips, the sponsorship of the water play area by the PTA, all with the support of ISH staff and faculty.

We at ISH are very grateful for all the support and a big thanks also go to Junior School Assistant Principal, Mr. Andreas Klimkeit and his ECC Team who oversaw the project. Our little kids will definitely enjoy their playtime here at ISH.
